Stormy Weather The first few photographs were taken on a
"normal" windy day, but the bulk of this album, commencing with
Castle Corner 001 were taken on the morning of 10 March 2008, the
day of the biggest storm in the U.K. for quite a number of years.
The wind was about gale force 8, gusting to 9, and occasionally storm
force 10. There was a lull for about an hour and then it came on again.
The "Fast Cat" in the photograph "Running for Home" is a service
to the Isle of Wight, into Portsmouth Harbour, Did not see it come
out again that day, but the Isle of Wight vehicle ferry kept plodding back
and forth, with a good roll from side to side.... I certainly would not like
to have been on her that day.
