About Me

I have been interested in photography from a very early age,

but unfortunately, was never able to afford to have a camera

of my own. I did find out about developing and printing, but

it was like a world of "magic potions" and a mystery to me.

I have travelled widely in the U.K. and been halfway around

the world, during my 12 years with the Royal Navy.

This was before the age of digital cameras, so I missed out

on a wonderful opportunity to get my own travels recorded for

posterity!..

My first digital camera, was a Fuji A101..it had 1.2 megapixels

and a 3 X Digital Zoom. Apart from that, it just took pictures.

but it gave me back the interest in Photography again.

After a couple of years, I lost it !... It was replaced by

a Fuji S5600, with 10 X optical zoom, 5 X digital zoom, and

5 megapixels.... what a quantum leap that was for me

I still have it as a reserve camera, but have recently

"upgraded" to a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28.

Another quantum leap.... 18 X optical zoom, 4 X digital zoom

10 megapixels, and extened optical zoom capability by reducing

the MPX count. This camera is truly amazing, in it`s features,

And capabilities.

Some of the photographs in this website will have been

taken with the Fuji S5600, and others with the FZ28.

Whichever camera I used, I hope you will enjoy looking at them,
